QuadTech® RGS V-I Register Guidance System
For Commercial and Newspaper
The Register Guidance System V-I (RGS V-I) is an automatic print registering system that minimizes waste by automatically correcting register errors. The RGS V-I, wired to your press register controls, uses scanners to monitor special register marks printed on the surface of each web.
Features
- The RGS V-I also offers a range of other features designed to speed throughput – including, most notably, the ability to simultaneously detect and correct for both circumferential and lateral register errors at speeds of up to 15,2 M/sec (3,000 ft/min).
- Presetting of job functions is a standard capability.
- So, too, is automatic control of scanner positioning.
- It allows your operators to choose from multiple register-mark formats in order to accommodate different applications and page layouts – including paper-saving mini-diamond marks that can be printed across the web direction.
- Error alarms notify operators immediately if the product falls outside of specific quality standards or if marks are missing.
- Featuring a color flat-panel touch display with easy-to-understand menus and graphics, the RGS V-I Operator Control Station offers on-line help and supports multiple languages.
- Additional options include ink-guiding capability as well as an active OptiGuard™ that uses pressurized air to keep contaminants out and reduce the need for scanner cleaning.
- The RGS V-I can be used to control four-, five-, or six-high applications.
- The ICON™ integrated platform gives your operators instant access to preset parameters for all their saved setups, greatly streamlining setup.
- It supports shaftless and semishaftless presses, as well as standard and shell-cylinder applications.
