The Print-to-Process Controller 3000X (PPC 3000X) is a flexible system that can control print-to-process register as well as color-to-color register. The PPC 3000X is capable of controlling up to 48 compensating devices simultaneously.

• Its platform accommodates up to 48 web or ribbon compensators from a single operator station, allowing practical, single-point control for ribbon decks.
• Alternatively, multiple operator stations can be used to distribute control points wherever you want them.
• It operates in either mark- or pattern-recognition mode, using as a reference either a register mark or a printed image that’s repeated from impression to impression.
• In pattern-recognition mode, the system memorizes a printed image, compares subsequent images against that memorized standard, and initiates the appropriate compensations whenever it detects differences.
• In mark-recognition mode, which accommodates automatic makeready, the scanner automatically searches for a register mark, calculates any registration error, and initiates compensation via the appropriate register-correction devices.
• In optional dual-mark recognition mode, the system automatically finds and monitors two register marks – ideal for circumferentially registering two printing devices to each other.
• Applications include unit-to-unit and print-to-cut register.
• Customized programming for various job conditions is accommodated, promoting quick setup of even the most complex jobs.
• To detect print-to-process registration changes throughout the run, the system automatically compares scanner information and encoder timing pulses with the image stored in memory.
• When differences are detected, the system automatically directs the compensating devices to make the appropriate adjustments – even during press-speed changes.
• It’s also ideal for registering a mono unit to a common impression cylinder (CIC) press.
• A 50-job setup-configuration library and automatic makeready help minimize waste from the start.
