First QuadTech DeltaCam and QuadTech Color Control with SpectralCam chosen for new Goss Thallo order

Drupa 2016 – Düsseldorf, Germany – 8 June, 2016QuadTech confirmed today the first sale of its new QuadTech DeltaCam. This new innovation from QuadTech, launched at drupa 2016, as well as its established QuadTech Color Control with SpectralCam, will be included within the specification of a new Goss Thallo press, being installed in Russia early next year.

DeltaCam provides breakthrough color technology with a 31-bin spectrophotometer, offering printers and converters full, in-line spectral measurement on film, paper or board.

Stewart Dyer, Area Sales Manager, QuadTech explained, “Until now, a solution with DeltaCam’s capabilities would only have been affordable to a small section of the market. With the introduction of DeltaCam at drupa, print operations of all sizes can get in-line spectral measurement for what they would have paid for a register system 40 years ago. This, combined with its advanced, accurate color measurement technology makes DeltaCam a true innovation for time-efficient, cost-effective packaging production.”

QuadTech worked with DG press ServiceS and Goss International to ensure the new Goss Thallo customer received the best possible solution. Reducing time and waste whilst maintaining accurate color throughout the roll were key factors that DG press ServiceS considered when taking the decision to recommend QuadTech technology to its customer.

Peter Kloppers, CEO, DG Press ServiceS, commented on the reasons QuadTech Color Control was the clear choice for this leading Russian flexible packaging converter, “One of this company’s goals is to reduce set-up waste and makeready time to an absolute minimum, to help keep production as cost-efficient as possible. We, therefore decided that QuadTech’s Color Control System would be the ideal solution. With SpectralCam’s unique capabilities to accurately measure color in-line and at high speeds on flexible and transparent substrates, it is sure to streamline set-up and minimize job reruns as soon as the press is in operation.”

The QuadTech Color Control with SpectralCam ensures that users can quickly establish the correct color specification on a web-offset press and maintain this specification throughout production of the job.
“Our extensive experience with spectral measurement ensures that our solutions meet customers’ requirements for reliable, consistent and accurate color,” explained Kris DeSmet, Area Sales Manager, QuadTech. “DG Press ServiceS is a valued QuadTech customer and we are looking forward to demonstrating how our systems will add value and significantly reduce waste for this latest Goss Thallo customer.”
