QuadTech appoints Equipo as official distribution agency in Poland

Appointment of Equipo further strengthens QuadTech sales and service commitments to the Polish printing market.

Sussex, WI--15 June 2010--QuadTech has strengthened its commitment to Poland’s commercial, packaging and newspaper printers, appointing Warsaw-based Equipo to distribute its web inspection and color control systems throughout the country.

Founded in 2008, Equipo specializes in print and waste management systems, representing leading vendors including Sagemis (emission management systems), EPM (dryers optimization), New Celio (ink viscosity measurement and control) and Sherman (corona treatment).

The Equipo team of three consultants will provide QuadTech’s Polish customers a fast, local source of sales support, training and problem-solving in the Polish language. This service complements the 24-7 remote diagnostics helpline, available internationally to all users of QuadTech solutions.

Quality expectations are being driven ever higher in all sectors of Poland’s print and publishing market. Not only do brand owners seek greater color consistency across all regions; they want the flexibility to commission a job at different plants, yet expect identical results, in terms of presentation and waste control.

Maciej Ochman, Managing Director of Equipo, says: “The country’s printers are rising admirably to this challenge and proving their competitiveness, by adopting the latest generation technology, management practices and technical know-how. It is a pleasure, therefore, to be partnering with QuadTech, whose L*a*b*-based spectral color control, web inspection and waste management software systems perfectly address the need for increasing standardization and exacting quality standards.”

Mr. Ochman and his colleagues will further strengthen QuadTech’s established position in the commercial and newspaper sectors. They also plan to help QuadTech make inroads into packaging and narrow web inspection, with innovations such as the Inspection System with SpectralCam™, which measures color targets within the work via a 31-channel spectral sensor.

Karl Fritchen, QuadTech’s C.E.O comments: “Equipo was the perfect choice thanks to their understanding of the local market, specialist print and waste management expertise, and proven ability to deliver professional technical support at a national level. This is a strong combination of benefits, and with their help we are well placed to meet the inspection and quality control requirements of the Polish printing market.”
