Dual Printing Upgrades with QuadTech

Sussex, WI--16 March 2009--QuadTech, Inc., the world's preeminent designer and manufacturer of automated print controls, today announced a new sales agreement with Dual Printing, a Cheektowaga, New York-based company with over 50 years of printing service in the directory, magazine and catalog markets.

Dual Printing is a full service shop, offering both traditional and digital options, full pre-press and complete binding capabilities. The company, which recently installed its first Web press, was looking to increase overall productivity and decided that the QuadTech Register Guidance System with MultiCam® would be the tool to achieve those objectives.

The closed-loop, color-to-color Register Guidance System was the perfect solution to help Dual Printing not only minimize job errors, but to also reduce overall waste. When partnered with the QuadTech Color Control System with Instrument Flight®, makeready time will also be significantly reduced. Instrument Flight provides outstanding three-color gray balance control throughout the press run. Additionally, the Register Guidance System platform gives Dual Printing the ability to gradually incorporate features and increase functionality, as needed, without having to perform complete change outs. The system was designed specifically to integrate seamlessly, to limit downtime and help maintain the consistent quality to which its customers are accustomed.

“We’re extremely pleased to be working with Dual Printing and to be delivering the highest-performing register guidance systems in the printing industry,” said Karl Fritchen, President of QuadTech. “QuadTech is known throughout the industry for our proven performance and for offering best-in-class services. We’re excited to be showcasing that reputation with Dual Printing as we look to work with them to help continue the success of their business.”

In addition to the Register Control System, Dual Printing also opted for the QuadTech Data Central™ System. This productivity reporting module will collect performance and event data from the ICON™ integrated platform system, then allow Dual Printing staff to generate a wide range of reports and charts – easy-to-interpret tools for monitoring and improving the performance and efficiency of their presses.
